I've got a large ground squirrel I'm making a sock puppet for the grandkids, at the chagrin of my wife, and currently I have the skull outside of the skin and only the nose is attached but it is salted along with the hide that is inside out. Is that how you do it while it has to stay attached and when the hide is ready the skull will be too? I'm planning on gluing the bottom jaw to the top skull and installing glass eyes too. The hands/feet are intact too and inside with the fur.

Didn't really get any information but the ground squirrel sock puppet is almost done. Looking for glass eyes and will need to glue the jaws together properly before gluing into the noggin. Does anybody know if you install the eyes first before installing the skull or if you work from the outside after the skin is pulled over the skull?
