I do not have the Foxpro spitfire, but I do have the Primos Alpha dog and I took it out for the maiden voyage on 10-5-2014. Did really well. Started it off with one of Randy Anderson's pro hunts that come standard and called in a double on the first stand. Second stand it called in a yote and my father missed it when it hung up about 100 yards out. After he shot I switched to a pup distress and kept if going for about 30 seconds and another dog came in from another direction. Had one coming in on our third stand of the morning but the sun caught us in the shadow of a rock and he busted out of there at about 500 yards. It is loud and clear, and I timed it right and got it new on Amazon for 230 bucks.

This is a review I recently wrote on the Alpha Dogg -
"When I first bought the Alpha Dogg, it worked fine and brought in coyotes on a regular basis. After about a half-dozen hunts, it began to make awful crackling noises that sounded like an old sun rotted speaker, which obviously did more to scare than attract critters. I replaced the batteries multiple times and even went so far as to upgrade to lithium batteries. I have decided that the unit is worthless if I want to use anything other than very low volume, less than 30 (the volume is 1 – 100). I am very disappointed in this unit especially since they are not cheap but I guess when you see Made in China it says it all. It’s time to look at a different and more reliable electronic call manufacture."
In reading other Alpha Dogg reviews, it appears as if my problem with the crackling speakers is a common one that Primos still has not addressed. While I continue to use the unit at low volume, I have decided that a FoxPro might be a more productive alternative to the Alpha Dogg.
