Well, I got skwerlie yesterday. They're out and running all over the place. Pretty skittish, I did get five of the little buggers though.

Yeah saw some Saturday. They were very skittish and didn't stay out long when they saw you. A few more weeks and we'll be set to start the slaughter.

Popped out Tuesday for a quick look and sure enough they are coming out! Was pretty windy but still managed to get a few before I had to head back.

Glad I don't live there and only visit, I'd never get anything done. I'd be hunting.

My scope should be here next week. Going to zero it next weekend and see if we can't get a few if they are out. Looks like it might be nice this week.

61 and sunny forcasted for Saturday. After all this rain, the vegetation should be enticing enough to draw them out of hiding. I am very much looking forward to getting out there and shooting some.

I drove around the hills a little yesterday. It is really greening up out there but we saw very few whistle pigs.

I drove around the hills a little yesterday. It is really greening up out there but we saw very few whistle pigs. Got licensed up yesterday and headed out to Sand Hollow. Didn't see squat. It was overcast and pretty windy. Maybe next weekend. On the bright side, I did get my scope zeroed. I have a little whistle pig spinner target and I was able to hit it 4/5 shots from 50+ yards. But after that, I stopped at a few spots, walked around, and didn't see anything. Of course I saw one on someone's property right before getting onto the highway.

They don't seem to like the wind and rain. A bright sunny day is best and preferably little or no wind. And right now I think they'e down in the dens having pups. The few I did see were pretty skittish and running from hole to hole. I sight my .22 dead on at 50 yds. That seems to work pretty good and I get an occasional 100 yarder.

Yeah. Hopefully the weather holds up this week like it's supposed to so they will be out. Plan on heading out again Saturday. Looks like it's going to be pretty nice

I'm just hoping they are out April 1st through 4th. C'mon weather, hang in there, it is almost time.

I went out Wednesday afternoon. It was a nice, bright, sunny day. I thought they would be all over the place but hardly any out. I barely managed to get five of them.

Today is a perfect day.......to work on the wife's car. This rain has to stop! I'm hoping the 4 hours spent changing the spark plugs (its a Subaru, don't judge me until you've tried it) has bought me a day or two of shooting when the weather picks up. Fingers crossed.
