I live in Wa. state on the north rim of the Kalama River. Lots of rain and few varmints. I have hunted most all my life. Raised in SE Colo., and hunted Jackrabbits for .25 each. This was back when a brick of .22 LR HP was $5. I hunt varmints, time permitting. Have hunted whistle pigs for the past 10 years or so. I use several guns depending on conditions. I have a Sako Quad with all four rimfire barrels (threaded), Savage 93's in 17 HMR and 22 Mag and an an assortment of 223's. Currently I am working on a TC 5.7 X28 using 30 gr. varmint grenade bullets. So far, I have worked up a good load shooting 2850 FPS. Happy to find this site and organization.l

Welcome to the IVH Forums. Glad to have you here. And we are glad you found us!!! Pull up a chair and a cup of coffee, and share a bunch of hunting stories with the crew. We like stories with pictures, so post away.
It sounds like you have the varmint gun thing figured out and are well armed for a varmint apocalypse.
Where in Washington are you located, the wet side or the dry side?

Thanks for the comeback. I live 30 miles north of Portland, Oregon, 3 miles up the Kalama river. Hoping to spend time this year pigging in Idaho. Would like to hunt the 5th annual hunt. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks again, powderman.

The IVH Whistlepig Tournament will be taking place on April 12th. The entry fee this year will be $40.00 per team of 2 persons.
Registration will be the morning of April 12th from 6-7am. All teams must be checked in with an IVH Official before 6pm (possible change of time) that evening.
As soon as I get a copy of the registration and rules, I will post them here in the forums so you all can print and fill out and send us a check with the registration form, for early registration.
