I spoke to a Biologist today from the IDF&G. He gave us the OK for 2014 Whistlepig Season. He said the letter that we got from them last year, is still in effect, there has been no changes! It is OK to hunt ground squirrels in the Treasure Valley. The area is South of the Payette River, South to the Snake River, North of Glens Ferry.

Here is a map of the areas that are protected, Do not shoot squirrels in these highlighted areas! They are protected!

broper: Nice buck ! I haven't got out this year. Season ends Tuesday and we are getting lots of rain and supposed to keep raining through about Thursday. So I probably won't get out this year. Oct 24, 2021 6:46:00 GMT -7
