Just saying hello, My name is scott I'm a idaho native at least to the northern part of the state. been predator hunting for two years now. mostly coyotes. I've been hunting ever since i was 12. I'm 30 now mostly hunt ducks and dear. but I'm usually laid off in the winter months so figured i would give coyote a try. Its been tough not much luck. I use a thompson center .22-250 that i hand load for. I have lots of questions that i was hoping to get some answers on. Thought this would be the best place for that. Thanks.

Hi Scott, My name is Bob, welcome to the forums. What part of northern Id. are you in? I used to live near Orofino, did lots of hunting around there. Used to hear coyotes howling once in awhile but never saw or shot any. Back then I wasn't in to coyote calling/hunting. I shoot 218 Bee, .222 Rem., .22/250 for strictly varmint rounds but I also have 6/mm Rem., .250 Sav., .257 Roberts that use for varmints too. I even have some 110gr. V-max loaded for my .270 but haven't shot anything with that yet, need to take it calling sometime. I'm really glad I got into coyote calling, I don't get a lot but it's fun getting out there and trying. Like Chuck said, there are a bunch of good people on here and in our club. Hope you'll be a regular participant on the forums and share some of your experiences and stories with us. Pictures too, if you have them. Bob
