I've been looking for lead BB or copper plated lead 2's. Can't find them anywhere.

I'm in the same boat as you bropper I've been looking for either bb or T in lead but had no luck so far, I have a carlsons dead coyote tube and it does ok with #4 buck but I want to try a BB or T and see how that goes, bad thing is I can't shoot steel out of it so I have to find something in lead.. I've considered some of the other hevi shot products but I'm not sure which ones would be safe to shoot so I just stay away from it. I really don't want to spend $5 a shell for the dead coyote brand shot. Any suggestions anyone?

Since then I've found what I was looking for. Timber Butte Outdoors can get the Hornady Coyote loads in nickel plated BB's and they're pretty reasonable.

You can use the Carlson choke. I've talked to guys that use extended chokes with them. Every gun shoots a little different. The best thing is to buy a box and pattern them with your gun and choke. If you have to, buy a modified choke, they don't cost that much.

I mite have to give them a try. I have the ic m f chokes that came with my scattergun so I will try them. I tried the Horady Varmint Express and te didn't fare so well with the DC tube did ok with mod. I am under the impression that the heavy mag uses the same wad as the Varmint Express and that type of wad does respond well to wad stripping chokes which te DC is, that is what I have read anyway. You are rite though I am just goin to have to pony up the $30 for a box of #4 buck and BB and try them with all four or my chokes, I even have a primos tight wad that I could try also.?.? So many options it's crazy!

You can get a box of ten Hornady coyote loads for about $18.00. I wouldn't/won't buy dead coyote or Federal coyote loads, way to much money.
