What is a good reloading station for a first time reloader? I was considering one of the kits that had everything in it but any thoughts on brands and any other insight would be greatly appreciated.

There's several out there, just depends on your preference and how much you want to spend. In my opinion you can never go wrong with RCBS.

Bob is right, RCBS is a good way to go. They are the gold standard for reloading!
If I was just starting out, I would go with the Rockchucker Supreme Kit. It has everything to get you started. Just add cases, primers, powder, and bullets, and away you go.
When I started, I had to piece it all together, piece by piece, it cost alot more, and very time consuming!
Get yourself a bunch of MTM Ammo Boxes and start filling them up!

I got my RCBS Jr. press in 1968, it came with a set of dies. Like Gary said, you had to buy all the other components seperately. That press is still the only press I have and use. The Jr. is no longer made though.
