Duck season opens up next Saturday and I was told the duck blind needed a little repair. I wasn't quite ready for what I'd see because last year it was fine but over the summer it took quite a hit. The guy that has this blind and I cut a bunch of trees that had fallen over the trail to the edge of the water trail that takes us out to the blind. I could hear a couple ducks before I started making noise clearing branches from the boat to get out there. As you will see, you have to take a paddle boat out to it through a tunnel of trees and branches till it finally opens up. The ducks always land coming toward the floating blind, always. One time a flock came so close out of 6 shots we hit one because we were shooting through their wings as they were nearly touching each other coming in about 10 to 15 yds out. You can just see the blind to the left.

72camero,
Looks like you got it fixed up pretty well!
What is that material that you have on the outside?

That is some reed type grass woven on the back side like chain fencing but with reed grass and straight reed grass attached to the front. It looks somewhat like an overgrown grass skirt and you buy it in bunches of 4pc about 4'x5', roughly and they are about $50 per bundle and this took two bundles. We had it leftover from an earlier hunt where we dug holes in the ground with a backhoe and covered ourselves with them.
