But I'll get over it. My name is Jay and I live in Middleton. I just joined in July when MidStar Firearms had their anniversary celebration and I.V.H. had a table set up. I had every intention of attending the August meeting at the Great Wall but had a last minute conflict. This evening, Sep. 13, I drove all the way to Eagle Road just to find no one there and when I got back home you're meeting just down the street in Middleton! Bummer! Now I have to wait until next month That was my complaint. Fortunately, next month it will be much closer. I like the new location. So that's a plus. Anyway, I'm a local, born and raised in Ontario. Used to shoot whistle pigs and pheasant/quail hunt in high school out between Ontario and Vale and Weiser. Then fell all out of that when college, work and family came along. But the last few years I started plinking at whistle pigs out North of Middleton in the spring with a Ruger Mark III pistol with a reflex red dot sight. Great fun and a real challenge. Just bought my first AR thus summer, chambered in .223 Wylde with a 20" barrel and I'm getting ready to start working up an ideal hand load to try to hit piggies at 300 yds. Looking forward to opportunities to hunt something a bit bigger with the AR and the pistols. -Jay

Hi Jay, Sorry about the confusion. We didn't know about the change in meeting place until we showed up for the August meeting and they told us we couldn't meet there any more. We talked to Sunrise Café and they said we could meet there. It's been on the forum for three weeks or so and we informed everybody we talked to. But it's kind of hard to catch everybody on such short notice. You should have came any way, we don't mind if you come late, we were there until almost 9 o'clock. Anyway, welcome to the club and forum. I think you'll enjoy it. We're just a bunch of varmint/predator hunters, nothing fancy or formal. If your free on Wednesdays we meet at Tom's Cabin in Emmett at 11 o'clock for lunch and b.s. It's a good way to meet some of the guys. Sorry again for the mix up, keep your eye on the forum as that's where we announce any changes or new happenings. Bob

Now that I've registered on the web site I'll monitor it more closely. I thought about driving to the Sunrise, but it was already after 8 and didn't know how long anyone would be there.
Unfortunately, I'm at the office all day and can't make it to Tom's Cabin in the middle of the day.
