Going it alone

My son-in-laws are not leaving till Wednesday from Washington to go to Idaho. I about cannot stand it and am thinking of leaving Sunday morning after seeing the Whistle Pig shooting pictures and not car pooling. I'm thinking of doing some badger shooting possibly since it will be the time I can make sure to be quiet as when we are doing whistle pigs we seem to have plenty to talk about.
#1, I would think it is safe to go hunt alone for a few days, right? Or because of rattle snake bites, rabid badgers, 1/2 coyotes and other things that probably won't happen but could I should wait for a hunting partner? I never really thought about it much, I've always been with someone for all previous hunting and really do not have a problem going alone, I would think that would be a time to get into the "zone".
#2, My daughter is going to let me use her Harley Davidson edition 2 wheel drive truck if I bring the wife's car to save gas as my truck gets 11mpg and will probably cost over $400 round trip and possibly more, hers probably around $140, but mine is 4 wheel drive with knobbies and can certainly go anywhere I have planned. Worth the extra to have my own truck there? None of the other vehicles later will have 4 wheel drive and I do like having my own vehicle with me.
#3, All the vehicles have a canopy, would I need to dump it off at my daughters house for some back bed shooting or is that not necessary?
#4, I might call one of the members I've been in contact with and see if they want to shoot a day or so, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday for Rock Chucks? The weather looks the best for those three days.
