The 70's didn't group any better than the 58's at 200yds and I've got my scope set up for the 58's right now so it will stay. Both seemed to be around 1-1/2" grouping, not great but probably acceptable for now. I'll need a better scope and probably hand loads to do much better. My mil dot cross hairs are a bit thicker than the fine duplex that I think would be a bit better to really find center. MOA of Chucks and Coyotes, I'm probably fine.

How's the trigger on your gun? That can make a big difference too. You're shooting 1 1/2" at 200 yds.? That would be around 3/4" at 100 yds. Not bad but you could probably do better with some load development and practice ,practice, practice!

I agree on the trigger, it would definitely help. I have a Remington 700 ADL with the static trigger at around 5lbs but it is crisp, but with my 2-1/2lb Accutrigger my pulls are a bit better. There are a couple things on the net on how to adjust the trigger and I may do that if I can find a couple hours or so to slowly do it, as well as I would like to get a trigger pull calibrator. I'm still getting pretty good looks in the glass and feel they should be a bit more accurate so I'm still thinking that the factory loads could be part of the problem. I still think I need to buy better glass too, next time. I bought what worked before but as I'm getting better and shooting longer ranges the less expensive glass with not great turret feel is hurting me. I'm actually going to write the manufacturer as it seems that instead of 1/4" for 100yds it is moving closer to 1/2" per 100yds and I'm going to ask if there is a chance the scope got out of there with the wrong setting.

The 700 trigger can be adjusted easily, ecspecially by a good 'smith. When it's adjusted properly it is about as good as any.

I do think I'll attempt it when I get some spare time. Been very busy and next 6 weekends are booked for something. Plus, the grass is starting to grow again, rats.

Correction, I ran the program again after realizing I had the wrong ballistic information on the 58's, they have slightly a bit more wind drift than the 70's, but I shot the 70's again last night and looked like a stinking shotgun blast. After screwing with the scope after screwing with it again the day before and knowing better the last two shots of 58 grain grouped an inch apart at 200yds fairly close to where my center was suppose to be, .6" up from center.
As for now until I reload I'm going to use the 58's and try for noggin shots if I can to keep the hides, if I ever get the chance, now most likely next fall/winter. Busy for the next 6 weekends but the good news, one of them is hunting in Idaho, YAH!!!!!
And on a side note, if Taxes goes quick this weekend I may try to adjust the trigger in the Remington ADL. Need to buy that trigger pull pound meter first. It's like $50, the wife will not be happy so I'm weighing the cost, in real terms. She cooks great and I love her delicious food and seriously, I don't want to screw that up. She puts up with a lot of my stuff already.
