Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Jake, i love guns and varmint hunting. I am Eric L.'s brother-in-law, and from time to time i might even claim him. I am an avid hand loader, with several wildcats in my arsenal. Grounders are probably the main varmint that i like to hunt, but any varmint in front of my scope is a good thing. I am looking forward to doing some rock chucking this year, and i have just the rifle to do it. I think my .257 Roberts loaded with some 75 gr Sierra HP's is going to do the trick nicely. It is a good rifle for a walk about, and should be pretty affective. Anyway, thanks for having me, I am glad i joined, looking forward to meeting some of you. -Jake

Hey Jake, My name is Bob. I hunt a lot with Eric. That .257 Roberts is a good cartridge, works good for all kinds of varmints. I have one, mine is a Ruger 77, tang saftey. The only thing I've ever shot with it is deer. I have loaded some 75 gr. V-Max though and plan on using it for varmints. Mainly coyotes. Anyway, welcome to the forum. Try to make it to one of our meetings sometime. Bob
