I'm new to the forum, but have been predator hunting for awhile. I didn't actually start calling myself a predator hunter until a couple years ago when I finally got it down. I grew up in a farming town in northern Nevada. Like most of you, well maybe some of you started off better, I was always interested and would try my hand at coyote calling with my old .270. I never really called in a coyote but then again I didn't hide very well, and did not know what I was doing. The most coyote action I got was seeing one while driving, getting out, and shooting. Or wake up in the morning and see one in the field. I then decided to try and learn some stuff so I read everything I could and watched lots of Predator Quest. I finally kinda knew what I was doing and called two coyotes into shotgun range. I guess I got spoiled because I dont even use a rifle and haven't ever since. Since then I have called in many many many coyotes and have killed all my coyotes with a shotgun. Last year I even called in a Lion to about 80 yards. I now live in Idaho and love hunting yoters around here. I am part of a hunting group and our main target is goose hunting, but this year I am also doing coyote hunting. We posted our first webisode of coyotes last week. Its a hunt from two weeks ago when I called a dog so close that it ran across my legs. Its all on video Here is the link youtu.be/ifz62X-41QcIm excited to share what I know and to learn from all of you.

tgrcoyote, My name is Bob, I'm the interim vice president of Idaho Varmint Hunters. Welcome to the forums, we're glad to meet you and have your input. Why don't you think about coming to our meeting and becoming a member. We're just a bunch of varmint hunters that like to get together and have a bunch of fun. Families are welcome also. We have several hunts and contests throughout the year that you'd probably be interested in. Also, every Wednesday at 11:00 clock some of us meet at Tom's Cabin in Emmett for a unch of ham & beans. Come on out and join us if you can, we'd be glad to have you and meet you in person. Bob
