Actually most powders are out here. You guys have powders down there? There is some Varget possibly available, use any of that for the .223?

We doing good here for powder. Yes I've used Varget for 223 Rem and 22-250 Rem with good results.

Nearly any type of powder that is good for a .223 is gone, fast. Shotgun powder is even a bit tough to get. But that I've got enough for another 2800 rounds or so of that. My son-in-law and I ended up with some Varget but I think he was planning on using that for his 9mm as there was some other powder good for heavy grain .243 loads that he cannot use that I can, so we split it as best we could, whom got what powder.
Good thing I'm not in a rush for powder or he may be out of Varget sooner than he thinks. There is enough of that for about 1800 handgun loads.

In the 223 22-250 and 243 I use IMR 4064. Clint Part of a mess of things we got when my son-in-law and I went in on a purchase, about a pound and a half of IMR4350 and 1 pound roughly of H4831. All for heavy loads in the .243, 85 grain and heavier up to 107 grains, that I don't have the twist for. I'm about maxed at 100 grains I believe but now have enough for probably a long time for deer loads and sighting in loads. Just bought today .243 and .223 Lee dies for our Dillin 550 press, really good price at Midway. All I need now is the rotisserie base plates for those size cases and the press is ready.

Hey Sean,
Can you by chance find any BLC(2)? I've had good success in my .222 with it and it's my favorite in .204. Super accurate and top speed. Works in any .222/.223 type cartridge.

Just got accepted, but which forum or article am I looking for since the whole thing came up.
Hit it again and the twist rate showed. I think Gary may have already posted something like that somewhere on here already.

Bob I've seen it listed, but out. I'll casually keep my eye out for some. I've read up on the CFE 223, and how clean it burns but have seen excellent result regarding the BLC2 too. I may start out just buying a pound when I see either one and seeing how it works and then move up to Keg if things are working out.

Yeah, when I'm trying new powders I just buy a pound to begin with. I've also wanted to try CFE 223 but never have. When I find one that really works well I get stuck there and it's hard for me to move to another powder and start load developement all over. With BLC(2) and 32 gr. Nosler Varmageddon I have shot .169 group with my .204R.
