The Nevada State Championships had a great turn out of 25 teams entered and everyone hunted hunted hard for two days, I am proof of that because we saw 12 coyotes and had many more howling around us, but could not get them to respond to a call. 1st Place and new Nevada State Champs are Sean Fontes & Robert Eddy Jr. 2nd Place was Dave Wendrich & Felipe Christ. 3rd Place was Bryant Donohue & Spencer Egbert. Congratulations to all of the winners it was a hard fought contest. 88 coyotes were the total shot. Loren
purplesage: I've just joined the forum and would like some advise. I live west of Onario and have acreage, much of it dry land. This year due to the increase in grouond squirrels, I assume, I also have an increase in badgers What's the best way to reduce them?

Timber Butte Outdoors: Hello purplesage, Welcome to the IVH Forums. About the only thing that you can do to decrease the population of the badger, is to reduce the population of the ground squirrels, the badgers main food source.

Timber Butte Outdoors: The only other thing to do is to shot everyone that you see. Sitting out there spot and stalk into shooting position at 100 yards or less if possible. Use enough gun to do the job with one shot. 223Rem or better.
